Where to go from 6870 Xfire

It seems i've finally found something that can upset them, Operation firestorm on BF3. Performance sometimes takes a nosedive, and i think 1GB Vram is a problem too (if not the problem, its getting maxed out in GPU-Z).

Ill probably be looking at a budget of around £250. the only real requirement is 2GB Vram+, although an AMD card would be preferable. I'm also playing at 1680x1050 on high settings.

What should i choose?

i've got textures on ultra,
Shadows and AA post on medium
the rest is on high.

ill try gulf and post back. EDIT: i don't have back to karkand, so cant check gulf of omen atm.

Im also looking at maybe getting an 8320 soon too, but that wasn't the main concern atm.

Try the textures on high.

Seems to have dropped vram usage by ~200MB total, and is a little smoother now

i'll probably get the 8320 now and wait it out till ~april for a gpu upgrade. thanks guys!
