Where to sell my airsoft rifle?

crikey, didn't realise they were now illegal to buy

bought our AK and M16 a few years ago, guess they can go on my dad & brother's licences now if we need to do that

what that blokes doing is illegal, UKARA isnt the only legal way to buy an airsoft gun but 'looking' like an airsofter isnt one of them

Who are the eligible purchasers of airsfoft guns?
The only groups of persons now allowed to purchase RiF's are Film,TV, Museums, Theatres, Crown Servants, and persons engaged in Re-enactement activities, and airsoft skirmishing. All these purchasers must be over 18 years of age.

What must Re-enactment people and Airsoft players do to show the are bona fidi?
Both these groups must show that their activities are covered by third party liability insurance and that they are over 18, in the case of Airsoft Players they must also show that they are regular players at an accredited game site. Which means they must be a member of a game site with the appropriate Airsoft Insurance cover.

It's all a bit grey and f'ed up to be honest, usual, law makers with no clue as to what they are passing law on.

It's generally considered poor form to do as the above stated. most places offer site membership by having you play 3 games in a period OVER 2 months. This also coincides with the UKARA requirements. That is a valid defense, looking like an airsofter is a bit weak.

Regardless there's no real proof to support what you said, i'd just remove that story, words like that can do a lot of harm. I wouldn't ignore it though, if you're certain, email the person with the VCRA details. I have yet to play the mall, know a few who have and they loved it, did Longmoore other weekend, that was epic

I have a load of gear that needs shifting, its been sat in boxes for the last 2 years. I have about 3-4 aegs a spring shotty and about 6 gas pistols and various other gear that I'd love to be able to sell. I used to be a very active member on ascuk but it all seemed to die down a while ago. Especially annoying that they no longer allow the sale of RIFs, though they do say on the site they will be allowed again soon...

Since going to uni I have prety much forgotten all about airsoft.

If you find somewhere decent to sell please please let me know!

PM me with what you have and ideal prices, i'm always on the lookout for a bargain, fully UKARA registered and can supply number/site details :)

Although semi/fully auto rifles above an FPS of *something* is classed as a section 5 and illegal?

trying to google it now.

Anything over 6 ft/lbs for pistols and 12 for rifles becomes a section 1 firearm, not a section 5.

Section 5 covers prohibited weapons such as noxious liquids like CS, pump action / self loading bored weapons ( apart from .22 ), hidden weapons such as a walking stick that fires bullets / shotgun ammunition, military mortars etc. There is quite a list.

I've been looking for somewhere to sell too...

I've got a brand new (unused), boxed with tags, Tokyo Marui Benelli M3 Shorty, complete with optional stock/grip.

Looks like this (stock photo/without stock)

Aye, but something capable of discharging more than one projectile with one operation of the trigger above an energy output of 1.35 Joules could potentially be classified as a section five... Just never really been tested in the courts yet.

where did you get that from :p ? to purchase an airsoft gun you must be UKARA registered, if you already own one thats fine

The site I play at doesn't use the UKARA system.. If I buy a gun from somewhere the company phone up my site to confirm I play there and thats it. :)

I remember speaking to an AFO about this but I can't remember the jist of it.

Fully automatic fire is illegal in the UK but under a certain power and as an Airsoft it is not an issue ..... something like that.

I will post on a police forum I use and get back to you. I would like to know for definite myself.
