Where to start?

I have received all my bits and pieces for my new PC, but where do I start? It has been such a long time since I've done this.

I was going to start by placing the CPU onto the motherboard; then the CPU cooler and it's fans; then the RAM. Then I am think I will place the PSU into the box; then the motherboard into the box; then GPU, DVD drive and HDD.

Ok with that?

Depends on your parts. Is the cooler one with push pins? If so, I would assemble mobo and cpu and ram, then bolt motherboard in (Dont forget the risers and I/O plate!). Then the CPU cooler, then PSU, hard drive / dvd / any add-on cards.
You may put the hard drive in first depending on where the cages are to the ram, quite a lot foul on each other so the ram has to be removed first.

check where you're mobo power connections are on it, as some are close to where the psu/cpu cooler sits so can be difficult to get in.
