Where to write a travel blog

I'm about to head off around the USA for 6 weeks and was hoping to document it with a blog of some kind.

I just want to write some stuff and post plenty of photos with it. Can someone recommend me a suitable place to do this?
www.blogger.com is one place I've found but maybe there is somewhere better.

www.hostelworld.com is very good for meeting people that are travelling plus you can write a blog on your account. not sure if its quite what your looking for though sry

A couple of my friends used http://www.travelblog.org. It's *alright* but one of theirs crashed and she lost a lot of entries. Fortunately her parents had been printing them for her so she has a backup. I guess it's good to see other like-minded blogs on the same site, but if i were to start my own blog there's only one place i'd look; that's www.wordpress.com. You only have to click on the Travel link and look at some of the blogs to see that they're a lot nicer than TravelBlog or Blogger. It's very easy to use, too.

Wordpress or Blogger would be my choices. TBH both are almost identical and I would say just go for the one you click on first.

(I use both BTW)

again not quite what your asking for but www.truprint.co.uk is a really good way to load photos while your away. that way you can delete them from your camera as well if u run out of memory.
