Hey guys,

Got some parts already, some coming very soon for my new build, but just wanted to know what is gunna hold this system back the most.

  • Asus P6TD Deluxe Mobo
  • Intel i7 920 with Corsair H50 Watercooling
  • 6x 2GB Corsair 1333Mhz RAM
  • XFX Radeon HD 5850
  • Crucial 64GB SSD (Boot Drive)
  • Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB HDD
  • Antec 1200 + Antec CP 850W PSU

I was thinking maybe the hard drive? I'm not sure though..

Thanks :D

looks to be pretty balanced tbh. at higher res your gpu will be the bottleneck, but only on graphics hungry games.lower res the cpu will bottleneck.
But i would say the GPU is the first part i would up, mainly cause its the lower "top end" card.

If you're being serious then the SSD 'cause you've got room on there for your OS but not your games and/or apps and possibly your RAM (depending on what it is - I've got OCZ Platinum in my rig - 7,7,7,20 1600mhz but it seems hard to find at the moment).

Both the CPU and the GFX card can be overclocked for performance gains although you might want to note that the 5850 doesn't have the same number of shaders as the 5870 so even if you match them clock-for-clock the 5870 will beat it.
