I got a Notebook (oldish one) Asus F3U with a Turion TL58 - 2GB RAM - (don't think ram can be upgraded) 111Gb WD 2.5" hdd. DVI-D
I just reformatted and installed Win 7 Ultimate. Use for Photoshop CS5 + Lightroom 5 for demonstration purposes in camera club..

Alas, Stupid Microsoft Updates are filling hdd up (it is Partitioned as I got Photos etc on other half. So 21Gb left on OS partition C:

I do use on Internet when away from home, otherwise I would do NO updates.

Which one of these would you say is Best to go for.

WD Scorpio Blue 750GB 5400rpm @ £39.08p
WD Scorpio Black 750GB 7200rpm £47.99p
Seagate SSHD 500GB @ £49.99.

Of course I'd have to Format and re-install OS but that is No problems as I have only just done that anyway. Needed to see if Win7 would run on it. Runs ok.

Thanks

WD Scorpio Black 750 Gb, I have one in an old T4400 laptop and it runs well.

For the size of files your probably dealing with the Seagate SSHD solid state part is probably too small for your uses as it mainly benefit loading windows/programs rather than your media.

Thanks Sasahara...Exactly what I was thinking..
WD Scorpio Black 750GB 7200rpm £47.99p it is then...It is large enough to be Partitioned and as Fast as I need it...
Unless someone else says differently..:)

Buy a 256gb ssd. The thing will fly!

If not. Then WD Blue is what I always buy when replacing broken laptop drives. Had one delivered yesterday in fact
