At the moment, Samsung 860 EVO 1TB and Crucial MX500 1TB can be found for £130-ish, which is great value. The greater write endurance and 5 year warranty compared to cheaper models makes it worth the extra £20 or so in the long run.

Incidentally, when the game Fortnite updates (tends to be weekly, and often followed by a patch the next day or so), the update and the patch write 38GB each time (even if the actual download is less than 1GB). Not every game will do that but something to consider when you're going to store a bunch of games on a large 1TB drive. The writes could get pretty hefty depending on how often they get updated, and the manner of the update.

It's really not worth worrying about. I've been using an MX300 525GB drive as a games drive for two years, it's written 2.21TB in that time. Crucial say it's good for 160TB of writes.
