nine out of 28 monitors, three out of nine manufacturers here - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=9767500 - are claiming contrast ratios greater than 1000:1.

In reality, TN Film panels (all 22" models are TN based at the mo) can't really offer any more than ~1000:1 in practice. VA matrices can reach up to around 1500:1 and IPS are limited to more like 800:1 without and dynamic contract measurements
