ewww ...don't go with 2048X1152, get the SM-2493HM.

Viewing angles aren't the best but what can you expect from a 24" TN panel?

if you can use the 16:9 ratio and can handle the 2048X1152 the i would go for it.

Here is my PC's spec.

Antec Nine Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 overclocked to 3.4GHz
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler
Asus P5Q Deluxe Motherboard
4GB DDR2 Ram
Nvidia Geforce GTX 280
500GB HDD
Thermaltake High Performance 850W PSU
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64-Bit

usama - i thought you'd already purchased the 2409 and your mate had the benq? was it not you that did the side by side comparison with transformers?

Viewing angles dont really matter to me, because I am only going to look straight at it. :)

I thought the same, but in dark game scenes you'd be surprised how much difference a small change in vertical height will make. If you sit close to your screen, you may see significant differences between the top and bottom of the screen, with a TN panel.

Just something to bear in mind. I went for the Iiyama 2403WS, which I've been pretty happy with. My next monitor won't be a TN panel though.

When was the last time you saw a PC game that supported the strange resolution? I'm sure they'll come in the future, but for now any monitor with that res will be a liability and nothing else.

Please check my sig you will find that i have the Samsung 2443BW 1920X1200.
I was only saying that more TFT are coming out at that res.
