I am confused one review saying that other that, than somebody mention that he got this monitor and there is no input lag. So generally there are so many mixed information and i cant decide. Please help me to decide which monitor would be the best option. THX

I bought a 2405FPW and that has relatively high response time and some noticable input lag, I still raped everyone on CS and CSS though :D

If the monitor is mainly for cs source you have only a few choices.

A crt, or the samsung / viewsonic 120hz lcd's. - all these have very fast response times too. Being stuck at a max of 60fps is not a option for any serious fps player.

Both the samsung and viewsonic are 22" and this is currently the max for 120hz screens at the moment.

i find when i have vsync on in l4d (triple buffer) i get mouse lag, as soon as i turned it off no more mouse lag

Im sure I read a good reason somewhere that you will still notice over 60fps even with 60hz. If I could find the thread I would but a quick google does nothing. Maybe its similar to how with a CD you lose sound quality over an LP even though sample rates over 44khz shouldnt matter.

If you have 60fps on a 60Hz monitor theorietically the most lag a frame will have is 1/60th of a second and you will see every frame the card generates. It is important to note the lag could be a lot less than this.

If you have 120fps on a 60Hz monitor theorietically the most lag a frame will have is 1/30th of a second and you will loose 1 in every 2 frames (graphics card will create the frame but you won't ever see it).

If you have 240fps on a 60Hz monitor theoretically the most lag a frame will have is 1/15th of a second and you will loose 3 out of every 4 frames.

Does this make sense?
