Which 24incher (again?!)

Yes that gateway is a bargain for a 24" spva screen seriously considering this myself.

you people want to have one of these. LG 245WP
This monitor has so minimal ghosting i swear its the fastest LCD i have ever seen . and i have seen quite a few top TFT's
it rocks.

Your second point is interesting! If i had one gripe about this monitor, it would be that the stand doesnt go high enough, i could measure it if your curious about this? I think you can buy a higher stand though, we have a couple at work, although they were for older revisions.

Yes please! As long as the distance between the bottom of the stand and the bottom of the monitor is at least 147mm I should be ok.

Gateway has a new 24" SPVA screen for £299 the samsung and other tn film 24" screens are thus overpriced in my view.

Just spoke to Dell UK about the ghosting issue with the 2407-HC. The guy at tech support asked me about "ghosting an image" and later that "it must be a refresh rate issue" which filled me with no confidence..!

I explained in a bit more detail what what the term ghosting actually meant with reference to a monitor (strange how this was apparently the monitor department I'd been put through to!). He then spoke to a colleague who had heard of the problem I said was being discussed all over the Internet. You'd think Dell would know about this problem too, wouldn't you? ;)

Anyway, to cut a long story short, he said that if Dell US has acknowledged a problem, and were replacing monitors that had the issue, so would Dell UK as they have the same policy.

So, is that good news? My wallet is itching to be put to some use!
