Which 250GB Drive

Hi

looking to buy a new 250 SATA drive. It will be split in 2 equal partitions solely for game installs

not sure whether to get a Western Digital 250GB KS or the Hitachi Deskstar T7K250

the WD has 16MB Cache but no NCQ
the Hitachi has NCQ but only 8MB cache and usually hitachi drives are faster

what would be best for me?

isn't the samsung spinpoint suposed to be best atm?

no it isnt. the 250gb seagate barracuda 7200.10 is the best drive on the market and also has a 5 year warrenty.

yeah, I ment the seagate not the samsung, dunno why I typed samsung? :confused:

put it this way, my 7k250 averages 55mb/sec. the 'cuda 10's manage 60-78mb/sec depending on which model you go for (750gb being the fastest)
