I don't rate the ROG Matrix at all on the 290x I would say the Tri-x deserves position 3 more but its all personal opinion.

Take out the ROG if you like but the Powercolor stays above the Tri-X

In all seriousness its better IMO.

# Better Cooler.
# Better VRM Cooling
# Glued Coils to stop squealing
# Solid Back Plate. (the Tri-X doesn't even have one)

The Lightning is like a 290X with bells and whistles. But then so is the Vapor-X, the lightning is just a bit more extreme.
