Going to replace my m.2 500gb samsung 970 pro and my 120gb ssd samsung evo

Was going to stick samsung 1TB 970 evo in but I'd like to get a 2tb instead, but cost of the 2tb one is too much for me

Is it worth getting something cheaper , but wont effect performance?

sabrent rocket was suggested on that thread
but after googling, yes they may be good and all that, bu it seems to be un-heard of in the UK, usual places dont sell them, im a type of guy that will only get a good brand that is well known, mike Samsung, WD , Seagate etc

but thanks anyway

If you want a WD black give me a shout as I can get one for £320 :-)

Bought a 970 EVO myself during black Friday, however the sabernet is sold by Amazon so warranty shouldn't be an issue. Haven't read or watched any reviews and only hear about the brand when posted on HotUKDeals where buyers are happy with the quality and performance.

If you don't want to spend Evo money then worth a try if Amazon still sell them.

well the sabrent rocket is nearly £400
but there is a Q version just over £200 ?

if its the £400 one, then you might as well get the WD black or Samsung Evo plus ?

I've just checked out this video. It seems there is no point replacing my EVO SSDs or looking in M2 at all. Unless you look at benchmarks and transfer files all day they are pointless

I've got two Sabrent Rockets 2TB... they have a 5 year warranty and have a very good rep, however understand where coming from. Personally I wanted the GALAX HOF Pro M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe however, just can't get them easily in this country which is a shame. Stunning piece of kit, so I wanted the fastest and Sabrent and Corsair MB600 are basically those... all comes down to coin v's performance I suppose, but seriously have another think about the Sabrent, there's some 1TB deals out there at the moment and I've found for £109 in VAT. That's incredible performance v's cost!

Once you have more than 1 of them
Then they slaughter 2.5ssd
File transfers between them are obscenely fast. :):)
If only got 1 you won't hugely notice the difference from a good 2.5ssd
Though if around the same price then the M2 is future proofing for when you
Can get another

There seems some real review negativity to these. Sustained writes are criminally low to spec.

Strange I'm not seeing it, I'm moving around 50-75GB files (film files, just done some testing based on what some have seen) and seems to be hitting great speeds, odd though I agree some people seem to be seeing possible cache issues...
