panasonic 32" TX32LMD70 (400)

sony KDL32P3020 (500)

only interested in good picture for ps3 gaming and dvd/bd movies.

need a quick answer if possible guys!

Hi Ghost,

I have the Sony KDL32P3020. I think the picture quality is very good especially on PS3 games and movies. I haven't had an lcd before so difficult to compare it.

guys i need some help.

i am outputting my powerbook g4 to the sharp lcd and i cant get it to work on a resolution higher than 1280x1024... i am wondering why it wont output to 1920x1080??? can anyone help

thats the model link in case it helps, im connecting from DVI-VGA converter then to the VGA port on the LCD

Well according to avforums its crippled on the vga port to 720p and will only do 1080p via hdmi which in my opinion is rather stupid and is intentionally restricted by sharp really dont know why manufacturers do this to tvs......

To clarify the TV will only do 1080p via HDMi with component and VGA locked to 720p.

Just use the HDMI. A lot of LCD's restrict the VGA input to 720P. It is stupid but sadly not uncommon. I can pretty much guarantee now firmware release will change that.
