First post. hi all

I am after a 320g hard drive, sata. Not sure which to go for! Don't want anything bigger at the mo.

Also, what is single / dual platter? Seen that mentioned but don't understand!! Sorry for my ignorance.

Any tips would be welcome

if you want to ask a member of staff something, the way to go about it is to either webnote one of them, or to ring the shop.

also, read the FAQ.

Waw, so clever mate!! Already done that. They don'y know!! Thought some staff members who are one here who are more experienced would be able to let me know.

Are these the newer dual platter ones? Do WD make these with more platters? I don't want more platters just concerned that i could purchase one that had more than one!!

Many thanks. Is there a separate number i should check when i get one to confirm that or is there no need as 'All' the WD 640's are dual platter? I ask as i know there can be a difference in the 320's.

Ok, thanks for the info.

One other thing, if i decided i wanted to buy the 320g WD3200AAKS from Overclockers would i be right in saying that it may not be the single platter version?

Could you confirm if these are the single platter WD3200AAKS?

Our latest stock should indeed be the latest version but there is a small chance there is an older one left in the box.

I spoke with WD about this when they came in last week as it's totally confusing. Would have been easier to create a 3201AAKS or something.
