Well, im getting a fast hard drive for my pagefile and windows system. And I saw a fujitsu, and a seagate selling on ebay that was 10,000 rpm, 4.5ms, and 36.7gb
which is the same as the digital raptor. So should I get it? or get the raptor

thanks

The Fujitsu and Seagate drives are SCSI drives, which will require a U160 SCSI Card, good cables and terminators. Can be very expensive. Raptor on the other hand is a SATA drive in which case if your motherboard has SATA, then you're good to go. I doubt you have a SCSI card, in which case go for the Raptor as the other drives will not work without an additional card.

Raptor is so far the only non-SCSI, 10krpm drive available.

For desktop applications, those SCSI hard drives may not necessarily be the fastest due to their primary function being for a server, whose usage patterns are very different from a desktop.
