which 37" HD LCD?

gonna be using it to connect up to my PC and to watch Movies and sport

gonna be wathing a fair bit of SD material thru my NTL box espially football..
whats the opinion on 100Mhz or is it not worth it

found a few but other reommendations welcome

i wouldnt personally be looking at a 37"

they're not S-PVA. Id personally much prefer a 40" Tv (which all use S-PVA panels)

especially if your going to be wathching movies and sports and stuff.

Sure i read somewhere that even with the 40 you are not guaranteed a s-pva panel as they use 2 types.

thats on 32" models

which of course both Chei Mei and AU / S-LCD make

only company to make 40" LCD panels is S-LCD the samsung / sony joint venture.

Sharp / Toshiba / JVC etc.. all use 37 / 42 / 50 panels

I believe philips make their own, and they do 37 / 42 / 50

think about it, only company to make 40" panels are samsung and sony

the only deviation from this is Toshiba's XF series or picture frame X, and they use S-LCD S-PVA panels

Excellent - i just changed my order to the LE40R87BDX for £648 delivered and will be here tomorrow
 
Just to clarify, the s-pva panels are the clear glossy reflective panels that you get on the 40" Samsung and Sony sets. They give better black levels essentially, but are more reflective than the matte panels.
