Thanks to Pilky01 in the general hardware section basically said my rig would benifit from a new graphics card, and looking at he is probably right in saying a ATI 4850 will help.
Hopefully if i can get my order in time will give me something to do over the weekend!
My current motherboard is
MB-062-GI Gigabyte GA_965P_DS4 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-062-GI)
Would the 4850 run on this, im a little worried the 4850 range may be to advanced and it would be slowed down by the main board.

As long as the Mobo has a x16 speed PCI-Express slot the card will be fine, what processor do you have?

how long will you keep the card for in your main rig as the primary card?

will you sell it on?

if you do sell it on will selling on a card without warranty affect your conscience?

do you plan on modding the card in anyways that may/will void the warranty?

hmm, never thought about that, but all very influencing factors.
I would proably be wanting the card to make my rig go for another 12 - 18 months.
As for selling it? Im not sure of it would be worth anything, ie grapihics card thats in it now cost around £200 2.5 year ago and its proably worth £30 now!
(Connect3D ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB GDDR3)
Not even sure what to do with this when i put the new card in!
Maybe flea bay it?
Do you mean overclock it to a higher spec? I wouldnt initially but as it came up for 12 months i may do to squeeze a little more time before a new one is needed

If you have the budget, HIS IceQ 4 Turbo one. Its factory OC'd (i.e. warranty covered) & has a very good/silent cooler.

Totally agree. Its a fantasic card and very quite. Mine idles at 42c and loads at mid 50's

Many thanks for your help guys.
Have placed my order, and just realised before i confirmed i was entitled to free shipping as ive been a forum member for 2.5 years! =D

From what i can gather on my motherboard support site it would take the Wolfdale CoreDuo Chip, thats going to be another day mind, but its great to know a board has the upgradability.
