Which 500GB SSD?

Do the 850's degrade like the 840's? I just bought a 250gb 850.

they shouldn't do but only time will tell.

I have changed my 840 evo because of the degrade issues with them but the issue doesn't effect all 840s as the first fix they released sorted some out just didn't work on them all.

I have had my 850 now a week and will do tests every week for a good few months to make sure there is no issues with it.

the MX100 I could find was this and its 256GB

the only 500GB drives I can find are these two

MX200

and the BX100

What would you go for, I have a Gene VI mobo so could make use of the combo card slot.

The best "Bang for Buck" at the moment is the Crucial MX 100 512GB. It doesn't suffer from any degrading issues like the 840 Evo does.

I am actually thinking of getting one myself: A fast and reliable drive for a good price

How does the Crucial MX 100 512GB compared to the 840 pro 256GB? I need a larger SSD like OP and was going to get the 850 pro but it's 100 quid more than other 500GB SSD's.
