As title.

Currently looking at the following;

Crucial MX300 525 GB SATA £115
Samsung 750 EVO 500 GB £125
Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB £145

I have a Samsung 840 250GB and wanting to upgrade due to space and it feeling a bit sluggish. (Not sure how I could test this, but I have noticed it taking longer than usual).

Which of the 3 should I go for? I want to spend the least amount, so wanting the Crucial really (plus an extra 25GB). Does it compare in real life situations the exact same as the 750 and 850?

I want it to be reliable, and have been reading about 3D Nand? Is that generic technology in these drives or a marketing name to Samsung SSDs?

Any input appreciated, wanting to order before 5pm today!

I've had an mx100 (So cruicial) and it's Ben solid, so gets my vote.

So much so we've just ordered over 200 525GB versions to upgrade PC's at work.

I'm in exactly the same boat - leaning towards the Crucial too - the 750 seems to be Samsung's older iteration and so it basically whether you want to pay 22p/GB for the Crucial or 29p/GB for the Samsung!

I've got both Samsung and Crucial SSD's and I really don't think you'll see any difference in performance outside of benchmarks!

Thanks, another lean toward the Crucial then!

Yep - I am looking at numbers but how much actual real life performance difference is there?

For example, M2 speeds are sometimes double (except 4K- I have no clue what this test does). Does that mean they're twice as quick or are they just good for benchmark positions?

Don't want to pay extra just for better numbers if there is no real world performance benefit as I won't be benchmarking anything.
