I am about to buy a 5080 and do a mild o/c on it. Any one have a preference for a model? I own a Gigabyte 3090 and when I thought I had an issue with it I found them helpful. Any brands to avoid?

Thanks, the warranty is quite important for peace of mind
Zotac are 5 year warranty if registered within 30 days, also UK RMA centre and pretty good, according to the following....

Cheapest (they are basically all 3 year warranty at this point, including Palit and Gainward after 2018 according to google). Or Zotac for 5 years if registered.
Gigabyte and Asus (more asus) both currently have many stories of them refusing RMA's due to spurious reasons on a random selection of products. However, since those are from reddit, they may be more in the USA rather than UK/EU, it could be different experiences.
Since Asus carries a hefty premium, but you are getting nothing extra for that bar maybe some RGB, id avoid them nowadays. Every Pre-OC beyond the base line one is stupid pricing for a couple of Mhz youll like get anyway with a decent case/moving the slider in afterburner if you care that much, but under-volt and you will get more.
