Which 790FX board do you guys recommend? Im planning on running a 9600be, ive got 2x 3870's and 8gb of G.Skills 1000mhz ram. Its all going in an antec 900 case and ive got a tuniq tower cooler for the cpu

Do you have a budget?

Also if you haven't bought the parts already, the Core 2 range are faster and overclock much better, for around the same money.

I reccomend the Gigabyte boards, experience from P35 boards is excellent at least.

If you are interested in Quad Crossfire get the DQ6, if not get the DS5 for normal crossfire/

i seem to build new machines every 3 years then upgrade sometime around the 18 month mark lol this time im trying to go the 3 years with no upgrades! Im not planning on quad crossfire yet, may consider it eventually.

I don't think there's any out yet?

Are you using RAID? I think SB600 should be fine if you're not.

It's specs are:

SB600

I was looking at some AMD boards a while ago for a friend. The Gigabyte 790fx looks excellent.

I run the MSI K9A2 Plat - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-093-MS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=808

No complaints here, runs very cool, overclocks very well and is full of excellent features including exceptionally good voltage control and quad fire graphics.

That's the one i've been eyeing up as well. I don't fancy Asus boards, and the Gigabyte models have no PCI-X slot so I can't fit my Abit AirPace Wireless card. However the MSI Plat. does. Yey! :D
