Which 7950!?

i went for the Gigabyte in the end, it is voltage locked but its good for 1125/1450.. i can leave it looping on those settings and its fine, ive not done any 'fine tuning' but i know it wont do 1150/1500

Thats not bad for the 7950. I have the 7970 version, its at stock 1000/1375, don't really need to push it yet as its playing ultra settings atm with pretty high fps. Temps are around 50° thats with fans kicking in at around 65-70%,all good so far, hope you're happy with your purchase:)

Are Gigabyte using ELPIDA memory on the cheaper 7970? If they're using hynix memory you should be able to run 1500mhz @1.6v as that is its rated spec.

ive still got to try some different fan profiles, atm i idle @ ~40c-40%, fan seems to go up 1% per 1c and both get to mid 70's while gaming, noise isnt an issue as its quiet even at 75% so i think i need the fan to kick in earlyer.
yes im happy with my purchase... £239.99 -£4.80 cash back -£17 bioshock code -£15 crysis 3 code -£96 selling my 5870 :D

Damn I got in touch with OCUK yesterday and they said there were no codes left after I bought the 7970!
Razyre I think the HIS 7950 is a good card, lots of good reviews, I have used lots of Sapphire cards in the past with not one issue at all.

Thinking the Sapphire on OC UK right now. It's £199.99 without VAT which is a god damned bargain. To think I paid £160 for my lacklustre 560Ti and I can get a card like the 7950 for a similar price. Best part is, with the 560Ti sold, I should hopefully have an extra £90-100 to hand which can either go to my next rig or the second 7950 :D
