Which 7970 to choose

I am looking to get a 7970 very soon (today or tomorrow).

Its just that I am a bit stuck at to which one I want.

I don't really have a budget as such but I don't want to overspend if its not needed....

The MSI Lightning as its on sale this week only was pretty much what I was set on. However with the Asus Platinum on sale today only I'm a bit unsure as to which is the better choice?

I am also a bit unsure at to whether these cards are worth £80 more than a "standard" 7970?

Any help would be great

Which 7950 would you recommend? I have noticed a lot of people making this recomendation over a 7970!

I've been waiting a long time to play The Witcher 2 with all the bells and whistles, I assume a 7950 can run this with all the Ultra settings? What about Far Cry 3 also?

Ah yeh, I didn’t mean with Ubersampling on, that would just be madness Ultra everything without ubersampling would be fine.

You certainly make a good case for the 7950....I just don't want to be sitting here in few months needing to upgrade again

I think its going to have to be a 7950 I'm afraid chaps. The money saved would be nice, could go on an SSD .

Performance difference between the 2 isnt huge!
