u got a nice looking setup there phil the 640mb gts will go very well with that
 
Im monitoring power usage using a plug in thingy. Just so i can see the difference. Currently at 180W just surfing tinternet with the x1650 pro. Lets see what the differences are when i get the new card.

320MB GTS, yes it is good enough, but define " good enough ". I will stick by to my recommendation and get the 640MB at least.

And no, GTX is not overkill for that resolution. Try playing with max settings using 320MB on that resolution on games that are power hungry and tell me you don't stutter at some point in those games.

some people can't spend ridiculous amounts on things.
 
Just got this, installed it, and it sounds liek a wind tunnel. Quite a noisy bugger thats for sure. Not as noisy as my raptor though. But it drowns out all my system fans.
