I have decided on what graphics card to go for the 6850 for my new pc but what are the differences between the models i noticed there are 4 different types u can get the same model in they are ASUS, HIS, SAPPHIRE and XFX is there much difference between them and which would play wow the best?
 
What's your current setup? If it's just for WoW, I would consider a CPU upgrade instead, as wow is more CPU limited.
I say just go for the cheapest 6850, which is the HIS model for £149.
 
i'm embarressed of my setup my comp is almost 6 years old it's an office dell basically with a pentium 4 and since the recent upgrades to graphics for the new expansion in the last patch my comp cant handle the raiding environment with 25 people anymore. This is the new pc i'm going to order it's pretty badass or would u guys reccomend an nvidia gtx460 since i've heard that nvidida plays wow better?

try playing at 1920x1200, everything on ultra, 40 meg of addons, enbseries mod enabled and tweak wow mod set to max.

my 4.3ghz i7 and 5870 really struggle at times in WOW (yet eat everything else).

its such a poorly designed engine :(
 
So you want a pc around £700 especially geared towards WOW?

This makes a difference becuase for WOW, your need a good CPU rather than GPU...

Q. Can you reuse your case?
Q. What power supply do you already have?
Q. Can you put together components your self? Will be cheaper maybe to build your self.
Q. What about Operating system? your need to buy Windows 7?

Obviously, I would add to either of those, the most powerfull Graphics card I could affored. A 5570 wont be good enough for WOW.

Maybe a 1gb 460 would be good? But the more powerful the GPU the better.

Maybe some one else can advise you on GPU's for WOW.

Plus will give the opportunity to get a better video card than the 460!

As with if a i5 is betterthan the six core Phenom I do not know.

Again something for some one else to comment.

But any of the 3 systems Iv linked I think are better than the i3 you was looking at.

Hi thanks for those links on new pc's I have looked into them and if I put a 5770 in any of them I am already passed my budget without windows 7 I can understand what u mean but tbh I don't need max fps on wow anything above 30 is fine on high graphics in a 25man raid and the predator will give me that and it comes with the new 6850 worth 160 pounds I could ring ocuk up and get them to put an i5 in it and maybe go for a 5770?
