Which banks have UK call centres?

I have just spent the last ten minutes on the phone to some abbey person who didnt have a clue what I was saying and he couldn't even answer my question about linking accounts and cards so I can use e-banking.

Can you guys reccomend me a decent bank as I would like to have one that you can actually ring and they understand you.

I shall take a look at natwest, I'm taking it solo is the most basic card that they do? I just want a cashcard basically - would be good to be able to buy small things but have no spending power for money I don't have. (am trying to manage money)

Just companies like NUD and Abbey when you ring them only to speak to someone who just reads off a screen and doesn't understand you - Makes me very

Well he told me to be able to access my ISA account and my normal account from the same ebanking page I'd have to cancel one of the cards.. then he didn't understand me when I asked something and I got a long silence.

Thats enough for me to leave them to be honest. I have nothing against people from other countries - I just think that when the banks make money out of your money they could give you someone to talk to - who understands english.
