Which battlefield game to play in 2025?

Try valorant, its like Counter strike, has probably one of the best anti-cheat programs of the lot, not saying there arent any but they arent common.

It does prevent casual cheating which does reduce the disruption a bit to be fair, but the hardcore cheaters are just moving to even harder to detect hardware solutions now.

This is the problem with so many games moving away from the old approach of being able to run community servers and having the tools to evaluate and remove likely cheaters, etc. where at least you knew most players were there because they enjoyed actually playing the game and at least during busy periods those obviously cheating would quickly get removed.

This is an interesting read to show the depths people go to when they cheat at games and what Riot are doing about it, I've been playing around 5 years and I can count on one hand the amount of blatant cheaters I've come across but sadly without a replay system it's impossible to tell for sure, I doubt any other company is investing this amount of effort into combating the problem but who knows, I could be playing against cheaters on a regular basis and just not know it.......
Sorry to derail the thread, BF4 is still alive and kicking and is the best of the bunch that are still getting played.

No replay on a competitive game seems weird. I wonder how many sneaky cheaters there are if they had a replay system.

Overwatch where the anti-cheat is about as useful as a wet paper bag has full replays and there are so many people blatently looking through walls if you watch the replays. Might not notice in game as they are often bad at other stuff and they try to keep in on the sly on kills so you don't see it on killcam, but watch the full replay and there are so many people blatently looking through walls :(.

I haven't come across too many cheaters in 2042, but it's still not a great Battlefield game. I've been accused of it many times, as it's easy to go top with a crazy KD ratio in this game, as it doesn't have SBMM.

In other games, blatant hackers are usually dealt with fairly quickly, but there are plenty of players who are more subtle and use things like 2D radar, so they can't pre-aim you exactly, but they always know where the enemy is.

2042 at this point, it's actually in a good state. I was in the closed tests and it was honestly a 2/10, 3/10 in beta, 4/10 at release and now a solid 7/10. From my experience the older games are filled to the brim with cheaters, at least on PC.

I tried 2042 a month ago and did enjoy it actually, I think I was more put off from what my friends were saying about it than focusing on the fact that I did enjoy a few hours in it
