Which block for a HIS 6970?

Hi,

Just bought a HIS 6970 off the MM and need to get a block for it and just wanted to know what I should get? I usually go for EK as never had a problem with them but have hear something about flaking on the 6970s? I see there is a XSPC one on OCUK but not sure if its any good?

I have the XSPC Razor from OcUk and I love it install was easy.

Assuming you have a reference 6970...

The flaking is more pronounced with the non-EN blocks, but as always with any Nickel plated blocks flaking is an issue. The EN blocks are a lot better, significantly lowering flaking.

Depends about preference on looks really, they all perform within 5 degrees of each other which is fairly insignificant, I think the Koolance blocks look cool, but are a tad expensive.

Tbh, you'll be happy with any block

Well I am pretty sure its a reference card as this is the link from the MM thread:

And the XSPC block doesn't look too bad, but will have a look round and also keep an eye on the MM as I may get lucky.
