My 965P DS4 has given stratup issues ever since I went quad core. It's a rev 1.0 board and I've updated the BIOS to one (F10) that is supposed to support the Q6600, but it's still the same.
Once it does finally boot the PC is totally stable, but I'm fed up having a PC that simply won't restart without attempting the process anywhere from 1-20 times.
I'm thinking of the Asus Rampage Formula X48 or DFI Lan Party X48 as I want to stick with DDR2 and retain crossfire support.
Rest of kit is
Seasonic 600W PSU
4*1GB DDR2/800
3870X2
X-Fi Platinum
5 x SATA HD's
1 x DVDRW
Any other/better suggestions ?
