which brand for cat6 external grade reel?

some friends have decided to cctv their property and their cameras are all PoE

so i was thinking some nice cat6 external grade stuff would go down nicely

can someone recommend a decent brand of cable that wont deteriorate in 5 minutes?

Will probably need a 305m roll

I wouldn't bother with Cat6 for that job. Cat5e would be fine, it's not like you're ever going to need 10GbE for CCTV.

Excel and CCS are both safe bets for cable.

I've always used Belden cable.

I found external grade Category 6 cable quite difficult and unreliable direct into RJ45 plugs.. also not very flexible at all so can be tricky routing into the back of some devices like cameras or access point..

I'd use a lesser spec and more flexible cable where possible.

Cat6 should only really be terminated into modules or patch panels.

You can get cat6 jacks too. They have thicker channels for the cat6 wiring.

I would only use cat5e in this instance.
