No other requirement's really, Just reliable, Quick wash option.

Budget £600 max

I've been looking at these

Bosch Exxcel WVH28360GB Washer Dryer, 7kg Wash/4kg Dry Load, B Energy Rating, 1400rpm Spin, Whit Can find this for about £540

Samsung WD0804W8E Washer Dryer, 8kg wash / 5kg dry load, 1400rpm Spin, White

LG F1496AD5 Washer Dryer, 8kg Wash/4kg Dry Load, B Energy Rating, 1400rpm Spin, Silver Slightly over budget though.

Leaning towards the Bosch right now, Any reason not to pull the trigger?

I have a Bosch Logix something or other which was about £720. When it was delivered and fitted we all found it funny that the label on the back read "Made in China".

It is a nice looking machine, easy to use although the manual makes it complex but once you've used it it's easy. It's a solid unit and pretty heavy. It's also quiet in operation, both washing and drying.

I have had a bit of an issue with it and that's with heavy single items in the machine with other items which I thought would help it balance. Sometimes the machine doesn't go into a spin and eventually stops. When you take the clothes out it's just dripping wet so have to take some out and re-spin.Not sure if it's a fault or a protection feature and never got around to calling Bosch as not always there so can't wait around. It's now out of warranty and only has this issue occasionally. It's like it can't balance the load so skips the spin cycle.

Only had two other washer/dryer machines in the past. An indesit which actually lasted a long time in a hard water area even with tenants using it after I moved out. I've also had a hotpoint which I never liked much for the start. It used to rattle around when it started spinning, and the bottom of it used to come off - I ended up using tape to hold it together. It also only lasted 6to7 years, but quite a bit of that the property was empty!

Vote for LG here too.

(1) Quiet as a mouse even at full spin speeds
(2) Massive drum - can take a Kingsize Duvet. Less washes needed and drying cycles are more efficient

One thing though - I wouldn't buy it at JL - it's £100 cheaper here : http://ao.com/l/washer_dryers-lg/1-6/2/

LG seem to have jumped in price a bit - they were a no-brainer when I was buying, miles better and cheaper than Bosch/AEG etc and similar quality. That Bosch in particular looks cheap.

That is just the out of balance controls, not a fault. As you alluded too, it is to protect the machine.
