Which budget compact digi?

The Mrs wants a small digi-camera for her bday and since I know sod all about such things I'm asking the wise users of the Photography forum

Budget of around £150 (but ideally a bit less), she's not going to be taking any pro-style shots, I imagine it'll solely be for pictures of her mates and her favourite shoes etc.

Her only stipulation so far is that she'd like a red one :rolleyes:

Any suggestions?

I've read some good reviews of the Panasonic DMC FS7, would this do the job?

She's not really after anything specific spec wise, it'll be more of a point and shoot job I think.

I should imagine it will accompany her on girls nights and the like so I guess low light quality would be handy.

There are hundreds of models in the price range though so don't want her to end up with a turkey.

Got her one of these in the end, arrived yesterday and seems to do the job. Got some nice features too, none of which she'll use I doubt but I'll certainly have a bash.
