Looking to get a new comp as my old one is just about to creak and die.

I was thinking about either...

Is the top option good enough for it's future proofing? I tend to play TF2 and Guild Wars a lot, among other games.

Second build. DDR3 still isn't good enough to warrant the price tag. You also might want to swap that 9800GX2 for 4870 or even wait for 4870x2. Don't bother with guaranteed to run at CPUs, just get a normal edition.

Suppose that'll do then (Bit paranoid about future proofing here :P)

Next problem is, can I load all that into the PC Builder on the main page somehow?

I'm not quite ready to build the entire thing from scratch I don't think.

Is going DDR2 really a wise idea for the long run?
ATM DDR3 doesn't offer very much more over DDR2. Lets just say the above spec will be good for a couple of years before DDR3 becomes mainstream & by that I don't just mean the RAM sticks but also mobos ;)

Building has never been easier. Search around forums (OcUK, etc) & this guide might be useful. But importantly, go/skim through the user guides ;)
