Which Business Class Service To Mumbai?

Are business class tickets not normally more expensive? Emirates seem to be only charging 2.5 times the economy fare, I have never actually paid for business only as used points for a free upgrade

Sudden thanks for the advice, I was told good things about Jet.

TW - I'm to old to get embroiled in a troll war. Im sure your very well thought of in here and all that but, Take a day off son.

San that BA flight I think is a restricted ticket, a fully flexible is normally 3k plus although I think Kingfisher will do a semi flex ticket for 2k

Kingfisher is good but emirates have some really good deals on business class tickets at the moment.

I was quoted 2.5k for
LON to AMD,
Sydney to Dubai
Dubai to London
Considering economy is 1000 it’s not bad at all.

I went Business class from Manchester to Pittsburg recently and it just totally wasn't worth the extra dosh for a slightly better seat, a steak on the plane and some free muffins in the departure lounge. Luckily, I didn't pay for it (on business trip). It's just much better value for money to go cattle class.

Dandle, the thing that annoys me most at a regular business traveller about the IFE especially going west is that i want to be able to pause the movie, sleep, eat or maybe walk around then come back to it, not have to wait 2 hours for the film to start again.

I see what you mean, those routes are still using the old IFE with 12 film channels and aren't video on demand. Those aircraft are soon to be upgraded with new IFE.

Any idea when Dandle (you sound as though you may know) as it really will make a difference to who I use in future.

Hey everyone, ShaggyRS6 is going to Mumbai in Business Class! What a guy!

I dont understand this.

If he'd been asking about economy class tickets, nobody would have had a problem with it. There's no difference really unless you have some kind of inferiority complex. Why do you have more of a problem with someone asking about a business class service than you do with someone asking about economy class?

Because someone rich would never ask on OcUK about business class travel?

It's probably quite a good place to ask about it because there are loads of successful people on the forum, or even unsuccessful but rich people. As a result, you can count on at least some useful advice in amongst the chaff and bile.

Someone doesn't like BA or old 777s so he must be a arse, because [TW]Fox or his mum probably flew BA somewhere once, hence he gets the hump whenever anyone badmouths something he or any member of his family has ever done or owned. I've seen it 100 times in motors.

Anyone that agrees with this kind of unbridled bile...

"You are trying really hard to come across as some sort of business class travelling airline connoisseur for whom the standard offered in BA Business Class (A standard far above that 90% of this forum has ever experienced) simply isn't good enough for."

is also total cretin. I mean honestly, what on earth does the fact that BA Business is a standard far above that 90% of this forum has ever experienced, have to do with anything? It really is completely irrelevant. It's like saying you can't discuss an RS6 because it's a better car than 90% of the people own on this forum.

Even if [TW]Fox were well thought of on these forums, I read rubbish like this all the time from him whenever someone criticises something close to either his or his parents' hearts; it really is hilarious :).

Efour2 - better, I suppose, than chav done bad such as yourself.

The aircraft are being fitted out now with the new first class (1 or 2 at a time) and at the same time they do that they are replacing the old 12 channel IFE system (theres actually 18 aircraft with this system) with Thales video on demand. Don't know an exact time frame but I would think a fair chunk of them will be done by xmas.

Well said Robbie! (I have nothing to add, I'm just procrastinating so reading every single thread, but felt the same amazement as Robbie did to some replies in this thread. It boggles the mind the way some people act because someone has a different lifestyle to them.)

That's really interesting to know mate. It's always surprised me that they run the Thales system on the JFK sector yet left the Mumbai route, which is always brimming to last.

Would love that -300 to fly that route sooner rather than later.

I really appreciate the info, I even called ba today and they could
Not tell me!!!

Excuse spelling - iPhone on train. Econemy Class :p

Because on this forums, as in life, you cannot be successful or have something others don't, otherwise the worms start crawling out of the woodwork spewing poison. Be 'normal' like anyone else and admit to credit card debts, council flats, old Sierra's and a **** job you hate.

If you can afford to fly business class, I can highly recommend it. I fly it from time to time and it's great. No nosy kids making a racket whilst idiotic parents just sit there staring on, no intruding on your seat by some fat slob overhanging in his, shovelling down peanuts and pies by the hand full. Nice big comfortable seats, laptop charger, priority boarding without having to stand behind trash that overloaded their bags by 20kg and trying to argue it.

It's for the person that wants a little bit more from his flight.

They aren't running Thales anywhere yet the first BA 777-300 (with Thales) aircraft arrived at Heathrow today. The Other video on demand system fitted to BA aircraft is Rockwell Collins.

Not always. For example, I flew to Cape Town on business class and paid £1600. The cattle class ticket was just under £800. So it was twice the price. I do book through work where I get a special discount but it's not much. For long haul flights it's worth to pony up the extra £££ for comfort. I've been upgraded to BA 1st class once to Las Vegas and it's not THAT much better than business class. The price is horrendous though. Miles above what I can afford.
