Which car would win?

Ok my friend has an 05 1.4 turbo desiel polo 75hbp (but has turbo), i drive a 06 focus ghia 1.6 (the 115hbp engine), now we just want to know which car would win in a flat out race?

Both quite slow, but the focus will be quite a bit ahead of that polo. The fact it is turbocharged is irrelevent, it still only makes 75bhp.

surely when the turbo kicks in it will give it more "va va voom"?

What is the weight of each car? Surely it's down to BHP/tonne rather than full on max power?

I thinks the focus is 0-60 in 10.5 and the golf 12.5 or 13.something, whilst the 0-60 aint the be all and end all the focus does have a fair but more power the cart its extra lard about.

No, the figure of 75bhp is when the turbo is at full boost.

Off boost i dread to think what its like!

Depends how far also, if the polo has higher bhp/tonne then it may have u on the holeshot plus it is a diesel so is very torquey. Howver seing as you have like 40bhp more your top end speed will be much higher as the engine provides more force to the wheels and therefore can equal more air resistance and friction thuus a higher top speed.
But im betting on *** focus to be honest
