Which car

Im looking choose my second car im looking at either a 1.8 petrol xs 306 or the 1.9td 306. I will do a few mods to it , i know you can do the screw mod to the diesel but with a new intercooler aswel how much power am i really looking to gain. When i get the new car i will prolly remap new induction kit and new full exhaust if it was just the petrol. Will do the same aswel as screw mod if i get the diesel which do you think will give me the biggest gains as they are pretty much the same bhp as standard.

please if you are going to say get a diff car i dont want (corsa saxo 106 205 xsara astra or any rover/mg's)

Petrol, becuase the rattly tinny 306 makes the noise of the diesel annoying.

The diesels seem to be priced a little higher, which you should take into consideration.

306 TD pluss screw mod = winnar.

Tbh, i dont know enough about the 1.8 to comment, i did like the 1.9td when I first started driving though.
