Which Car?

Point 2, A mini is a prestige car, its great looking, nimble and appeals to more people than you think.

Women, Estate Agents, Homosexuals.... - yeah you're right it does appeal to more people than you think :D

If you can stretch to 21k then 3-series is well worth a look. If the 5 is too big then 3 has to be the choice. As i say the C-class is a dated design now, not really worth the money.

This money gets a nice selection of high spec SE's, and some decent spec sports if you hunt around :)

Was looking at that too.

Been looking at the 320 and 330 series. The Volvo mentioned above seems quite good too.

Also looking at estates.

Btw, anyone know whats changed from the older gen IS200 to the IS250-300? Apart from the look etc?

320i is a 4 cylinder - look at 325 and 330 instead.

It's a completely new car.
Been told about the 325 too.

Yeah, i know its a completely new car, but..nevermind.

Just hoping its not as 'tinny' as the IS200.

I tend not to stay too gen'd up with new car prices...what kind of A4 does twenty large get you?

as for A3s...I really liked the first ones...now they just look like hunchbacks... :(

A4 was on the list too. Although not keen on the look of them anymore.

Whats a Mini then? I thought it was a cool and funky youthful 3 door hatchback which has thus found favour with estate agents, most of which have at least 2 of them all liveried up.

Foxtons, who are probably the most highly regarded estate agents in the country have a fleet of MINI Coopers for their employees, all with silly vinyl graphics.

So Fox does have a point ;)

The requirements are not overly strict.

Mileage can be around 30k.

Budget upto £20-21k max.

Automatic/Petrol is definate.

Not much bigger than the IS200 mentioned above.

BMX 3-Series seem the best bet atm, no?

make your mind up!
budget - sub £18k
updated budget - £20k
now its £21k?

why does it need to be a car that has normal user mileage? going for a car that has business use mileage will bring so many more cars into your availability range. Remember that company cars are generally serviced well and on time and a lot of them are only ever used by the driver who sits on the motorway for most of the miles.

3 and 5 door.
3 and 5 door.

3 and 5 door.

Technically a Saloon despite marketed as a Coupe.

The guy said he needed 4 doors, not a saloon. As illustrated by him considering the Audi there are probably several cars that fit the bill whether this remit is fufilled with a 4 door saloon or a hatch back that you pedantically insist is a door seems irrelevant.
