Which card ?

All you have to do with the normal coolered 4850 is make a profile to speed the fan up, not hard at all and a 2 second job.

On default fan speed they idle around 80 as its set at about 23%, so just make a profile and up it, i upped mine to 36% so im now idling around 55-57 instead and underload is around 75 or less.

Yea a lot of people seem to think its a bad cooler on the 4850 when its not really its just set at to low a fan speed. Not really sure why amd done this as looking at the reviews in the noise department the cards don't seem noisy at all.
 
what temps do these cards run at ?

The 4850 has a 110W TDP (think quad core cpu) and it dumps it in your case. If you like the hum of multiple 120mm fans and the annoying buzz of the 4850's wasp during games, then don't worry.

TBH a well ventilated case with one of those side door large fans would be well suited (and justified) with the 4850.
