Which card

Hi there.

I am thinking of purchasing a 24 inch monitor to replace my 19 inch one. I currently have a 512mb 4850 which handles most games at the resolution of my current monitor.

What is the minimum card i would be able to get away with to comfortably play games at a 24inch monitors native resolution? 5770 or something like a 5850?

5850 is perfect for that rez, single 5770 will struggle with the latest games at decent IQ settings.

Excellent, i thought you might say that. As it happens i'm not getting the monitor just yet so hopefully by the time i do the 5850 will have dropped in price

deffo go for the 5850 and overclock it go for asus you can volt mod them.

5850\470\5870\480 or even CF5770, take your pick. Op you dont say what your budget is or spec of your system, could have a bearing.
