I would go with the 6850, weather your CPU will make the most of it is a moot point imho.

It will hold back even a 8800GT, and that's a card that roughly only around 55-60% of 6850 speed.

I dont was part of a build built by another pc company years ago...

I wouldn't pair some random generic PSU from years ago with any gaming graphic card that require more power than bus-powered.

yeah...i kinda thought that...i was looking at the Z77 route and was weighing up my options...thanks guys.. i was wanting it to run batt 3 so maybe upgrade is necassary...
