Which Centre Parcs?

I've been to Oasis Whinfell Forest (when it just opened and wasn't owned by Centre Parcs) once and Longleat about 10 times.

Oasis was nice... it was the week it opened and the rapids were so good I nearly drowned and they were having to pull grown men out of it. They closed the rapids on my last day there and they've since been turned down a fair bit! The indoor swimming pool was good but I can't remember there being any outdoor swimming.
I also managed to come off my bike down the biggest hill there and ended up in Carlisle A&E.

Been to Longleat 10 times now, love it there. Only negative would be that the plaza and activities have been enlarged to cope with all the new villas they keep building but the swimming facilities are still the same size as when they had far less villas.

I went to Longleat (for about the 10th time) a few weeks ago, and I swear they've made the rapids tamer. Longleat's ok but the layout is a pain as it's built on the side of a hill

Of all of them, I preferred Whinfell Forest - it felt the most relaxed

I was shocked when I went to Elvedon a few years ago, everywhere outside was swamped with smokers - I reckon BAT must have hired 90% of the rooms for the week

I remember those rapids at Oasis, they were fantastic... gutted when i went again and found them to be turned into a poncy slide you go down one at a time on :/

The reason for the rapids at oasis being replaced by the "poncy" slide as you so eloquently put it was due to an accident when two parts split leaving fiberglass exposed then slicing chunks out of half a dozen people the worst part being that after the first person was injured all the other people following behind were unable to stop and befell the same fate - know
