Me too - used to save them up before the holidays so that I'd have a big stack to read while sat in the car on the way to France :)

good old Union Jack Jackson


and was it Johnny Red in battle..he flew on the russian front even though he was british..

I used to get the little Commando comics if I was going on a train journey to places.they always sold them in stations :)

2000AD, Tharg was the kewlest


Starlord - Strontium Dog and Hammerstien & Ro-Jaws. This comic later merged with 2000AD, this was in 1978 !!


Cheeky - About a toothy guy with a snail, had Disaster Des and Paddy Whack


Captain Britain - Yes! Captain Britain! old marvel super hero, i used to buy this comic for 3p


The New Avengers - This was aroun 1976, when comics opened up landscape, cost around 7p ?



Planet of the Apes - As above


and a lot of DC Stuff, Flash, Green Latern, anythign really !! and the usually, Dandy, Beano, Topper etc.
