Which Compact with a £400 budget

Hi Guys

Budget is £400 but would like to spend less if possible

Sony RX100i/ii or Pentax MX1

Or is there other options? Mainly for family pictures, outings, parties and holiday.

Would like to be able to pocket it or place in the missus handbag without her moaning

Have you considered the Ricoh GR Digital at £499??

I know its a bit above your budget and only has a fixed 28MM lens but has a 16MP APS-C sensor(similar to the one found in the D7000 and K5) and has a very sharp lens:

The sensor is also very good at high ISOs too.

Other than than I would vote for the Sony RX100 MK2.

Sony RX100 gets my vote, its definitely a great camera, best choice for your budget
