These are my 2 main pc's. The first is my main Gaming rig and the second is a Back up unit.

AMD Phenom 955 X4 @ 3.8GHz with 4GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz running a 2GB 4890 of a Asus Formula Crosshair with 3x Samsung F3's in RAID 0

Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 @ 3.8GHz with 8GB DDR2 @ 800MHz running 2x 1gb 4850's in crossfire off an Asus Formula rampage with 2x 500GB Seagate Barracuda's.

The second is hardly ever used but I'm going to start playing with the overclock a bit more and see what the online gaming is like as I haven't seen/forgot the ping I play at with the Crossfire and overclock.

Obviously the sims 2 should only use one core anyway so I'm thinking that I might as well get some use out of the intel.

What do you think?

I can almost guarantee either one of those will play it full spec without any problems. So the choice is all yours.

I would put it on the PC which is going to get more use.

Well I mainly bought these games when they were on offer at shop for my girlfriend to play. The first time I let her play on it she played all night and I went to sleep, got up to go to work and she was still playing.

The AMD was a replacement covering a problem I had with the Intel and since it was a Quad and Stock was greater I've never really used the Intel since I fixed it.

It's mainly over the issue if people think the performance would be better on the intel machine and if the extra ram would back a difference.
