Which Conroe for Gaming - 6300 or 6600

I seriously see no point in getting a 6600. Even if it is faster in the odd application here and there it's really not a significant amount. It may encode a video a few minutes faster. So what? It's a waste of money.
 
a lot of people arguing that the 6600 can go higher easier than a 6300 are missing the point. This is for gaming. The processor at medium overclocks wont be the bottleneck. Whats the point in taking it to 3.6ghz when 3ghz generally isnt a bottleneck these days. My 4300 @ 3ghz isnt a bottleneck for my 8800.
 
E6600 not worth it if your not gonna encode, that's where the 4mb cache comes in play. If just playing games & general usage get a E6300. The E6600 will be my choice in 2 -4 weeks time.
