Surely if they are still making a loss on the console a drop in price would be near impossible given their recent financial reports (losses).

Microsoft are also making a loss on each console. It's the games that make everyone their money. Sony are not stupid, they know that the price is putting many potential customers off. They will drop the price and it will be in direct competition with the Elite more than anything else.

saints row was 1st of september, i think i got it a few days after. Dead rising i think was the 8th.
