Hello again folks!

I'm sort of new to the overclocking field, but I am well aware that my CPU needs a new cooler (its a X2 3800+ 939) to replace the standard heatsink that came in the box. My current heatsink is actually dying, it hit 50c idle on both cores earlier today.

Is it possible to get anything decent for less than £20? I was hoping to clock the CPU to about 2.4ghz if possible... I'm not sure if thats going to demand a beast of a cooler or not.

Thanks in advance for any help!

What he said, it's what Im using, and even with an overclock, its still a fair bit nicer (and quieter in my mind) than the original fan was.

Personally i think it's pretty Crap for the size of it & all the Great write ups. Isn't there a Typhoon or Tornado or summit like that which is the best.
I run an AC 64Pro btw. Huge great thing that looks great is reliable & quiet but Honestly i expected better performance. It is cheap as chips though.

(No it is not because i haven't fitted it properly either as i reseated it twice to make sure it was the AC & not my poor fitting.)

Thermaltake Big Typhoon is ace.

Got my Opty 165 to 3ghz on a DFI SLi-DR.

Great cooler and very quiet too! :)

Having said that, on a budget the Freezer 64 Pro's a great buy TBH!
