I need to send a litre of liquid, obviously very well packaged etc, but on loads of their websites they say it's illegal to send fluids?

Anyone know of a place that will? Preferably cheap.

Or do you think I can get away with trying to disguise it? :p

if it were completely full i.e. not able to slosh around at all, then a liquid filled container would be indistinguishable from a solid container the same shape.

I don't know that it can be illegal as you can mail order all kinds of liquids.

Damn, I'd better tell clean your car .co.uk to stop sending me all the liquid car cleaning products I buy as it's obviously illegal.

Just package it up, stick it in a different shapped box and send it away.

I send liquids (paints) through various different couriers across various different countries and have had no problems as of yet outside of parcels getting lost. Customs regularly open the parcels and have had no issue with it either.

In the UK, I use mostly Royal Mail, I have also used Citylink a few times, and DHL a few times (I use DHL for all my international parcels).

As Abraham said, if it's full and not able to slosh, they won't be able to tell what it is anyway, but I still don't think that's necessary, I've sent hundreds of parcels containing liquids and it's been fine.

Depends on the courier though, the ones i use say that its on a restricted list which means you can send it at your own risk, it wont be covered in case of loss or damage.

As above - if it's a full container, and not sloshing around, you can't tell it's liquid. Package it very well, and it's fine. I've ordered lots of things through Royal Mail

They all say it's restricted, they all seem to contradict on certain points, but they're very vague about it and the "restriction of all liquids" is hardly reasonable either.

royal mail do :p

You probably have two options for this. Send it undeclared and hope everything goes well or declare the item and pay £££'s to post it
